El tren, el bus, y el camino: The train, the bus, and the walk

Early morning as we caught a bus to the trainstation, a train bound for Sevilla, and another bus bound for our area of the city. After some confusion at the hostel, everything was under control, and we started our hour-long walk to the university for a lecture by Professor Gordo.

Everyone was really tired so we stopped half way through and he bought everyone coffee! I felt bad, but then again, I wasn't the one with my head bobbing--I was taking notes! The second half of the lecture was much more upbeat and exciting. It was al about La Alhambra, which was cool because we actually knew what he was talking about and had it fresh in our minds from yesterday.

He has a book in Spanish and he wants to have it translated into English. I would really like to do it, so I'm going to email Lourdes Alvarez as soon as I get back to Barcelona to ask her about it.

Afterwards a bunch of us walked to get pizza at this really nice restaurant which also was really inexpensive...I guess it WAS just pizza and pasta! It was really good, though-so it ended that part of the night well! We came back to the hostel and were all ready for bed when Felipe called to ask Mon to go out to a bar/club called Elefunk...so I went along with her. The coolest part of the place was that they had goldfish bowls for lamps...I am not sure how those poor fish stayed alive...but i guess with such small brains and short memory-spans they deal just fine.
